We understand that sometimes life throws you a curve ball, but for a small Inn like this, I have a 14 days (minimally) prior to reservation check in, or you are responsible for the full reservation. We are Not responsible for cancelled flights, last minute sicknesses or even COVID. I STRONGLY encourage folks to look into travel insurance for your full coverage on schedule changes/illnesses last minute. There will be a $50.00 charge if your credit card has already been charged your deposit to cover fee’s. I am a Small Bed and Breakfast and last minute cancellations are detrimental to my business. Certain other occasions during which we may have had to turn potential guests away because there is no room at the Inn.
Large Group reservations that book the whole BNB have a 60 day cancellation policy
Reservation bookings: I require at least a 12 hour heads up for bookings. ESPECIALLY in the winter time.
Deposits are required for phone and online reservations of 50% or the equivalent of (1) night of your stay. Credit Card needs to be collected at time of booking if you choose to pay cash or check.
We accept mastercard, Visa, Discover, (AMEX) as well as Cash and check.
Yes! The Jeremiah Mason House is the only local B&B that serves a delicious, plated farmhouse breakfast 7 days a week. Each guest room in the main house includes a homemade meal cooked daily by your host, Valerie, using fresh eggs from our own chickens and local ingredients. (Please note: The Studio Apartment is self-catering and does not include the daily plated breakfast)
Yes, Special Diets are very important and even the smallest of things mean a lot to us.
Examples of Preferences Would be – I like Eggs but alone, not mixed with any cheeses or vegetables. Another preference would be Oat milk vs Cow Milk. Or I dislike Vegetables altogether.
Special Diets are a bit more complicated and here are a list of examples:
gluten Free, Dairy Free, I have Celiac’s disease, Chron’s, Vegetarian, Vegan, Allergic to chicken Eggs ( or allergic to duck eggs or ALL Eggs) Nut allergy, you can get more specific Tree nut allergy,
All of these are very important and to be listed on your reservation and not to be given at breakfast time.
Yes, we are happy to accommodate most dietary restrictions for our fresh, homemade breakfasts served daily. Please provide a minimum of 24-hour notice for all special dietary requests.
We do love pets, but realize that there may be guests with allergies or other issues with allowing dogs and cats to stay in the BNB. For this reason, we no longer allow Pet’s to stay in the Inn. I Am now renting one of my Studio Apartments that will be the only available place for a 20 pound or under dog( no cats at all), Quantity (1) that must be on leash at all times, not left alone in the apartment at all, and all waste must be picked up. If a pet is allowed on the furniture there will be an extra fee to remove hair from the furniture or linens. You must pay a $25 pet fee, (per night) when bringing the (1) dog.
For the comfort and safety of all, we are a non-smoking facility. We do have seating areas and butt receptacles around the grounds; please feel free to use them. Please be aware that if we find that you have smoked in your guest room, we will charge your credit card $300 or more depending if I need to get it professionally cleaned. This includes any and all forms of smoke/vape etc.
Absolutely! We love welcoming families with children. To ensure a relaxing stay for all guests, we ask that children be well supervised and respectful of other guests. Running, jumping, loud banging, or excessive noise that may disturb others is not permitted.
For the safety and comfort of all guests, our children’s policies are strictly enforced and are not subject to exceptions.
If you are traveling with children and require any special accommodations, please let us know at least 24 hours before your arrival so we can prepare accordingly.
Toddlers are not permitted to stay in the Bed & Breakfast guest rooms. Families traveling with toddlers are encouraged to reserve our Studio Apartment, which is better suited for young children.
Children staying in the Bed & Breakfast must be fully potty trained and reliably dry overnight. Because we are a small bed and breakfast with premium bedding and limited housekeeping turnaround between guests, we are unable to accommodate children who wear diapers, pull-ups, training pants, or who are not consistently toilet trained and dry overnight.
A Pack ‘n Play is available upon request for guests staying in the Studio Apartment only and is not available for use in the Bed & Breakfast guest rooms. Please let us know at least 24 hours before your arrival if you would like one set up prior to your stay.
For the safety and security of all guests, every person staying on the property—including infants and children—must be included in your reservation. Please ensure the number of adults and children is entered accurately when booking.
Accurate occupancy information is essential in the event of an emergency, as it allows us to account for every guest and provide first responders with the correct information. Failure to accurately disclose the total number of guests prior to arrival may result in additional charges, denial of check-in, or cancellation of the reservation in accordance with our policies.
Children 13 years of age and older are considered adults for occupancy and pricing purposes.
Parking is a first come first serve basis in the lot. With a little work we can fit 5 or 6 cars in the lot. We can accommodate exactly 8 vehicles for the Bed and Breakfast side and (1) vehicle for the Studio. There is only room for (1) vehicle per room. All other cars must park in the street.
We are happy to have you stay at the Jeremiah Mason House while you are visiting your family and friends in the area, however, our parking is extremely limited! Please have all family and friends find parking on the street while they are visiting or eating at the restaurant across the street so other patrons of the B&B may find parking during their stay.
Within walking distance, you can visit the local library and Historical Society, shop at Vickie’s or Crazy Horse, grab sweets at Wright’s Chocolates, play a round of pickleball or disc golf at Woodland Valley Disc Golf or dine at Town Hill Grille (open Wed–Sun) right across the street.
( In season 7/1 – 9/30) there is a two night minimum ( Friday and Saturday) on weekends in Season. If available and you would like a 2 night stay but Sat/Sunday please call me to make those alterations.
The Jeremiah Mason House is a small, one-person, owner-operated bed and breakfast. Because I do not have a traditional reception desk, concierge, or 24-hour front desk staff, I am not always available at the door to accept walk-in reservations.
My online reservation system defaults to a 24-hour advance booking requirement year-round. This helps ensure that rooms are properly prepared and that breakfast can be planned thoughtfully for each guest.
Same-Day Reservations by Phone:
As a one-person, owner-operated bed and breakfast, I always do my best to work with guests whenever possible. If you are traveling last-minute, please call first. I do my best to accommodate same-day reservations by phone when possible, especially during peak season — June through early September.
Same-day reservations depend on room availability, room readiness, my availability to check you in, and breakfast planning. Same-day reservations are not accepted after 6:00 p.m.
Off Season / Slower Season:
During the off season, 24 hours’ notice is strongly preferred and may be required depending on availability and preparation needs. Please call ahead before arriving.
A room appearing empty, an open room door, or no vehicle visible on the property does not necessarily mean a room is available. All reservations must be confirmed through the reservation system before check-in.
Thank you for understanding that the Jeremiah Mason House is a small, historic, owner-operated bed and breakfast, and I do my very best to prepare thoughtfully for each guest.
Waitlist Means that there is currently someone Booked in that Room for the Dates in which you are looking to book the Room for. You are more than welcome to book your room on those dates and hope that someone cancels, or change your room to one that is not showing a wait list.
Please Remember In Season (in June 9 till Mid October there is a Fri/Saturday mandate for all weekend Bookings, Any 2 day bookings outside of that must be booked over the phone).
Yes, there is a 2 night minimum, however I have restricted this now to inseason only to allow 1 night stays during the slower months. Breakfast is NOT included because it is a seperate space from the bed and breakfast, but our reservation system cannot seperate the two. I only allow (1) small dog of 20 pounds or less, no other pet will be considered.
This is a no smoking/no vaping apartment.
New Trundle Bed: There will be a linen Fee if either BEDS are used ( regardless if you added another guest). I will assume you brought guests in if the beds have been used.
I know offer the ability AT THE TIME OF BOOKING, to opt out of breakfast, for $10.00 off each day, however you must do this at the time of booking, not during your stay.
I offer 8 uniquily decorated guest rooms that have vintage charm yet modern comfort. This allows me to provide an intimate quiet stay for travelers while still offering a variety in room styles.
Absolutely! With me having 8 rooms, I am a fantastic choice for small family gatherings or quiet friend or company retreats. I specialize in hosting groups who value heritage and calm hearty breakfast experience.
